Tyler Camera Systems is a FAA approved Parts Manufacturing Authority (PMA) and, has obtained a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the Special Operations Platform on the MD 500 Series helicopters.
Technical Characteristics:

Platform Assembly: The main frame is 3-inch diameter 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum tubing and longitudinal supports are 1-inch diameter 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum tubing. Approximate weight is 35 pounds per bench.

Mount Brackets & Bench Supports: 7075-T651 computer control (C&C) machined anodized aluminum. Complete system weighs approximately 130 lbs.

Seatbelts

The TSOP is designed with attachment points to secure personnel wearing rappelling type harnesses, but some agencies are employing self-retracting twist-release seatbelts.  These seat belts are specially designed to work on the TSOP.
